Organization of Guidance Program

Introduction

The organization of guidance programs is student centric group activity in
the educational institutions. It is considered as integral part of the educational process where students can be acquainted with different types of opportunities available to them. Organization process is a participatory activity designed to unlock the potential of students that contains various services.

 

Objectives of Guidance Program

1.         To create awareness regarding tests, entrances, interviews, group discussions, skills etc. among students

2.         To offer support in collaboration with institutional human resources. 

3.         To provide specific guidance at micro (classroom) and macro (Institutional) levels.

4.         To update parents and teacher regarding latest development in the market and industry.

5.         To assist students in overcoming various types of fears and phobia concerning various exams.

6.         To help students in identifying their strengths and weakness.

7.         To help them in acquiring skills needed for dealing with prospective challenges.

Characteristics of Guidance Program

1.         Guidance for each and every one by experts and professionals.

2.         It must be designed to address the needs of students.

3.         Teachers and parents must be part of it.

4.         Whetting of decision making and problem-solving ability of students.

5.         Usage of all possible tests and inventories to assess their field of interest and vocational aptitude.

7.         Organization of seminars, symposiums, workshops and conferences related to careers options.

8.         Lectures by experts in order to make the students crack various examinations.

9.         To offer potential solutions to individual and personal problems to students while maintaining confidentiality.

10        Maintenance of proper documents and records for analysis.
